GORDON KEITH EXHIBITS AT THE MS SOCIETY OF CANADA OTTAWA CHAPTER
Ottawa Artist, Gordon Keith will be exhibiting 40 paintings at the MS Society office during the month of November 2008. Many of the paintings have been featured in both the 2007 and 2009 Fundraising Calendar for MS.
The exhibit and sale will be open during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. the 2009 Fundraising calendar for MS will be available at the offic.
A Limited Edition Print of "Marie's Garden" will be available as a gift from the artist for those who donate $50 or more to the MS Society.
The exhibit will continue until November 28,2008

ARTIST LAUNCHES UNIQUE CALENDAR OF HIS PAINTINGS
FOR MS CURE
Ottawa Artist, Gordon Keith has used his skills in marketing and graphic design to create a second fundraising calendar of his paintings with proceeds being directed towards Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. Gordon’s wife, Marie lives with MS. A lifetime of painting experience is evident in the 40 beautiful works of art that make up the calendar. The launch of the 2009 calendar will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre on September 25 from 6 to 9 pm.

This is the third event Gordon Keith has held for the Ottawa Chapter of the MS Society of Canada. In 2006, Gordon raised $12,000 through the sales of his paintings, calendars and donations to the Society. Guests who make a donation to the Ottawa Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada will receive a Limited Edition Print of the title piece “Marie’s Garden” as a gift from the artist. The painting depicts the couple’s garden in Orléans.
Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disease that affects people in the prime of their life. Canada has a very high incidence of Multiple Sclerosis. The disease affects one in 750 Canadians, specifically three times as many women as men.

CTV Ottawa features Gordon Keith on Regional Contact
Producer Kathy Donovan announced today that Gordon Keith will be featured on Regional Contact on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at
6:30 p.m. The segment will highlight footage of Gordon painting at his home in Ottawa and his cottage at Lac Ste Marie, his efforts to raise funds for MS research and an interview with his wife, Marie Vaillant.

Official Painting for Sugarfest
An acrylic painting by Gordon Keith of “Jo Érable/ Jo Maple”
has been chosen as the official painting for the 2007 Quartier Vanier Maple Sugar Fest. The painting will appear on all printed material including posters, tickets, advertisements and programs for the Maple Sugar Fest.

Fundraiser Exceeds Objective
Gordon Keith announced today that his project to raise funds for MS Research for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada has exceeded expectations. Over $12,000 has been raised to date through the sale of calendars, limited edition prints of the painting ”Winter Woods” and a portion of the painting sales.

Calendar is Finalist for Award of Excellence
M-Real Paper Company has chosen the 2007 Calendar “Paintings Gordon Keith Tableaux” for final consideration for their “Award of Excellence” in Graphic Design. The final announcement will be made in February 2007.

MPP Chooses Painting by Gordon Keith for Christmas Card
Madeleine Meilleur, Ontario MPP for Ottawa Vanier has selected the painting “Lowertown” by Vanier Artist Gordon Keith for her official Christmas card. Five thousand cards will be printed and distributed. The Ontario Minister of Madeleine Meilleur is the Minister of Community and Social Services, Minister Responsible for Ontarians with Disabilities and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs

2007 Calendar of Gordon Keith Paintings Released Today
In conjunction with the opening of his exhibit at the Electric gallery, Gordon Keith has released a calendar of his paintings. The calendar features some of his more popular paintings with net proceeds to benefit MS Research. The calendar is available for sale at the gallery and at the Ottawa-Carleton chapter of the MS Society of Canada.

Gordon Keith Art Exhibit at the Electric Gallery
An exhibit of paintings by Gordon Keith opens today at the Electric Gallery on Marier Street in Vanier. This one man show showcases 39 works in both watercolour and acrylic painted over the last few years. Themes covered by the exhibit include” Travels”, “France”, “Streetscapes”, “Tuscany”, and “Algonquin Park”. A portion of the proceeds of the event will benefit MS Research. The exhibit continues until October 15th. |
